Los Cardos means "the thistles" - flowers known by their intense and surprisingly vivid color as well as by their sharp thorns. In the Mendoza province its presence is an unmistakable symbol of poor soils, which naturally produce low yields of balanced and concentrated grapes. Our wines are beautiful like the thistle, but in contrast to the prickly flower these wines are incredibly approachable. In an always challenging climate and surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, our vineyards at more than 3,300 feet above sea level enjoy the constant breeze from the Andes mountains.
