MAAL Wines was born in 2010 from a friendship nourished by a common passion for winemaking, viticulture, and Malbec. The talented and passionate owners dedicated to wine: Alfredo Merlo and Matias Fraga, carried out a microvinification of six barrels from grapes sourced from an abandoned vineyard in an up-and-coming area in the heart of Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina named “Vistaflores”. This gave rise to MAAL Wines (M for Matias and A for Alfredo). The wineries mission is to produce a portfolio of Malbec wines that tell a story about wine, place, and people. These are expressive and character wines that reflect a balance between the soul of a vineyard and the fun and adventurous personality of the winemakers.
